![]() ![]() Yokai Burst is a significant pillar of Nioh 2's combat and can quickly turn the tide. To use your Yokai Shift forms in Nioh 2, you press Triangle and Circle at the same time when your Amrita Gauge is full. ![]() You might also noticed he switches to his second GS which has abilities better suited to be used during YS to take the most advantage out of it, so for something a vast amount of players think as usless it still dealt 50% damage of this boss HP (and could easilly do more due all the time he still has left) in a safe maner and with 0 extra investment into his build since 99% of the players ignore their second GS outside it's passive. Whichever Yokai Shift form you choose, make sure to practice using it often against the different enemy types. You are missing the point, it takes poofer 30 second or so to initially drain the ki bar, it takes 5 to do so after he enters YS because he is abusing 2 important facts, he is using the YS grapple transition which starts you up with charged up cores, doing so after initially draining a Yokai boss is also important because you are now in the dark realm were both YS and cores are more powerful, this means the boss will lose his ki extremelly quickly, he is also mixing charged attacks while everything else is going thanks to the amrita orbs being generated by abilities and due the fact the boss is out of ki.Įven if he wasn't abusing confusion or out of ki damage boost you can easilly keep chaining bosses into the out of ki state due how faster you can charge the abilities, after all that he had barely spent 10% of the gauge he could keep absorbing amrita orbs and keep going for at least another 3 or 4 cycles so regardless this boss was dead the moment he used YS. ![]()
